Built in collaboration with the Parsons School of Design and MANY Design, the Creative AI Magnifier is a data visualizer and interactive exercise in exploring relationships with AI as a creative tool. Built using custom databases on a WordPress system, the Creative AI Magnifier takes submitted answers and generates a shareable graph.
The Magnifier makes extensive use of MySQL databases to save and share information with a D3.js-based data visualization algorithm responsible for generating the Magnifier’s prominent graphs. Each new response to the Magnifier dynamically creates and populates a new page, saving it among an archive of hundreds of individual magnifiers.
The Creative AI Magnifier likewise features extensive resources into the background of the questions it presents, with a dozen pages worth of supplemental information, anecdotes concerning AI, and academic citations. A fully-contained, fully-featured project, the Magnifier even received a write up in Fast Company.
